This year BLOC Love + The Mamahood have joined forces to serve even more families. Every family with children 18 and under who could use some Christmas cheer is invited to apply.

BLOC Love's annual Holiday BLOC Blessing

Every December, BLOC Love matches families on the block with neighbors who want to show up. Kids write their list. Sponsors shop it. On December 19 we bring everybody into one room — with food, activities, and fun for the whole family — and hand it over, face to face. This year we're going bigger with The Mamahood, reaching mothers across Northern California: some signing up to receive, some stepping up to give. That's BLOC Love.

For families

Fill out one application for your household. About five minutes on your phone.
We review every application. If your family is chosen, you'll hear from us by November 1 by email or text.
Come to the event on December 19 in the Bay Area. Bring the ID that matches your application.
Your kids receive their gifts — in person, from people who care.

Not a family?

The rules

This is an in-person event. You must be able to attend on December 19.
Space is for the children you sign up plus two adults. Please don't bring children who aren't registered or more than two adults.
One application per household. Duplicates may be removed.
Gifts are under $50 each, no gift cards — plus one "big wish" at any price.
Bring the ID that matches the name on your application.

Attending Accommodations needed for any child or family member attending optional I can attend the in-person event on December 19 in the Bay Area. I understand only the children I signed up plus two adults may attend, this is my household's only application, and BLOC Love and The Mamahood may contact me by email or text about this event.

For sponsors

Tell us how you want to help. Sponsor a family, give to the event, or both.
We match you with a family and send you their gift list — first names, ages, sizes, wishes. Nothing private.
Shop the list, or let us shop for you. Gifts reach us by December 9 — drop off in the East Bay or ship to BLOC Love.
On December 19 the family gets it all, in person.

What to buy

2 to 3 gifts per child from their list.
Clothing is optional — sizes are on the list, but clothes don't count as one of the gifts.
Siblings get the same number of gifts. If one child gets four, they all get four.
Most sponsors spend $50–$100 per child. Many keep it near $75.

Prefer we shop? Give $100 per child as a donation and BLOC Love handles the rest.

General donation — funds the event and extra gifts wherever they're needed.

All donations are tax deductible. A donation letter will be sent in January 2027 to the contact information you provide.

You'll get a child's list — first name, age, sizes, and wishes. Buy 2 to 3 gifts from it (clothing is optional), or send $100 per child and we'll shop for you. Gifts reach us by December 9. Not local? Ship them straight to us.
